I am interested in a golden retriever in the Charlotte, nc or asheville, nc or Spartanburg area to rescue. Do you know of any? I would like a dog that won’t go after my chickens and I know you can’t make any guarantees. Please let me know. No dogs with heartworms though.

I meant to reply earlier. Unfortunately, I don’t have much knowledge about rescues and shelters in North Carolina, but I’m sure there are groups that can help you out. I volunteer at a shelter in Los Angeles.
