About to get more confusing – Dicky, Brock, Chaz & Me

A few days ago I posted a few pictures from Lake Arrowhead, while filming two fake movies… all for a live show I’ve been cast in this October/November in Hollywood. You can get in on the gag from the beginning, and read that post here: https://tomkiesche.wordpress.com/2016/07/19/2-fake-movies-fake-movie-star-fake-social-media/

Basically in Lake Arrowhead I was playing Chaz Dearbourne, a cocky mega movie star, playing two roles on films that were being shot for the illusion. Well, below is me, Tom Kiesche, as Chaz Dearbourne, in a first fake theatrical trailer for the fake romantic comedy, feature film, Love & Waffles, playing Dicky Masterson, love sick small town mechanic in a quaint New Hampshire town.

Confused yet? Well, it’s just starting.

Working …Sex

Today I worked on MASTERS OF SEX, a critically acclaimed Showtime Original, cable TV show, in its fourth season. Without giving too much of anything away I’m playing an addict, “Jerry, the addict” to be more precise. Jerry currently has a nice little  start to the episode, though I have no idea what will make the final edit.

Currently listed as Episode: 405 “Outliers.”

No idea on AIRDATE, season four starts fall 2016.

2 Fake Movies Fake Movie Star Fake Social Media

Today I started my role as Chaz Dearbourne, working on two fake films…

Love & Waffles, a fake romantic comedy, where I play a loveable, blue collar love sick guy, Dicky Masterson…

and…

Steel Splinter, a fake action flick, where I play the iconic heoric role of Brock McHoyt.

After a string of action hits, Chaz was convinced by his agents and manager to star in something softer… to expand his audience. He’s a bit of an ass off camera, which you’ll pick up from the posts… but I’m hoping to have him develop a lighter goofier side as well, as he’s filled out.

But actually…

My main job of playing the role of Chaz, playing the roles of Dicky and Brock, will be a LIVE show that will premiere in October in Hollywood, however, the stuff we shot up to Lake Arrowhead is both promo stuff that will be used inside the LIVE event, and possibly for some promo stuff outside on social media.
Feel freel to follow Action_Chaz on Instagram, an account set up for my character, but please don’t ruin the illusion for others by spilling the beans. Apparently Chaz is also on Twitter at @Action_Chaz but I didn’t post anything there yet. You are free to follow either or both, to be in on the gag, but please keep your insider info to yourself… and it will probably grow slowly.

But who knows, maybe you’ve been a fan of Chaz Dearbourne, or the Brock McHoyt series for years… Just know, I don’t own these characters, but I’m on as the actor, playing the role. I believe we go into rehearsal for the live show in August… and a previous post listed the production dates.

BTW, viral videos will probably come out around then too. Thanks for following this career of mine.

Big Thanks Big Smile

I just got off the phone with a good friend of mine who completed reading the latest draft of (hopefully) my next published novel… While he’s sending the marked up paper copy my way, his overall reaction to the story and the pacing was really encouraging, especially since he’s an avid reader, and the very first reader of this particular story.

You’ll most likely hear more about this novel some time from now, as it will be rewritten, read by others, rewritten, rewritten… basically, it will take time.

Writing books is not my 1st, 2nd or 3rd creative outlet, and at this point I’d make more 200 times more per hour working at a fast food restaurant for the same amount of hours, but what I absolutely love about writing books is that I don’t have to wait for others to get stories out to you and the general public. I don’t have to have a producer or studio green-light it, or try to get a manager or agent excited to try to sell it. If something someday catches fire, sells a hundred thousand copies, or gets made into a movie, GREAT! If not, if I will simply just continue to enjoy the process, and smile each time I hear I’ve made a few people smile along the way… that’s great too.

BTW, one giant difference between writing this novel, and writing Sympathy For The Devil, is that I’m pacing myself, for health and overall happiness. The title of this work may change, but for those that are curious, the genre is prodominantly fantasy fiction.

Opening in October ’16 – Hollywood Premiere Party

image001

I just got word from one of the producers that I may now publicly disclose that I’ve been cast in a new, LIVE THEATRE event that will be premiering in Hollywood this coming autumn…

Hollywood Premiere Party

I have very few other details to release at this point: The location is set. The PR team is gearing up. The actors are cast. Stage manager hired. Rehearsal schedule released. The writer/director promises to continue to develop the script through rehearsals, and I’m sure that each night it will change slightly with each new audience.

What I can write at this point is that my character is shaping up to be a handful of fun, wild emotion & craziness…

It’s a while off, and things can always change, but as of now, production dates are listed as follows: October 7th & 8th, 14th & 15th, 21st & 22nd, skip a weekend, and then November 3rd, 4th & 5th.

As we get closer, as more is released, I’ll post about it. Until then…
