I have a few physical postcards left, and I’ve decided that I’ll send ten people one, with a written THANK YOU on the back, if they have both a US mailing address to send it to, AND choose to do ALL of the following…
If you’ve already watched it, and already posted a review on a public site, let me know your physical address within the US, IF YOU WANT ONE, and I’ll send you a postcard with my thanks written on it. I have a few postcards set aside for you each already.
This is a very limited offer, as supply is very limited, and while I can promise my best, I cannot guarantee postcards will be delivered, not damaged, not water-stained or un-bent, by the Post Office in delivery.

Big thank you to Sandra who posted the latest review on IMDB of WMD… Thank you everyone else who also took/takes the time to review as well. The IMDB page for the movie can be seen here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1370312/
And a thank you to Korey who posted a MEME on my FB, and his thoughts about the film.
If you’re considering BUYING the DVD, there are several sites that offer it, some as low as $14, much less than I paid for a copy directly thru Indican Pictures (Barnes and Noble has it for $16).
Cheaper yet, there are many sites which will STREAM the movie for you for as low as $2.99 (Like Amazon). There’s a link to the AMAZON rental on the IMDB page for the film… http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1370312/, also on iTunes. Make sure the movie called WMD that you orders stars Tom Kiesche and John Posey… (May be listed as 2013 or 2015.)
A handful of friends have written, expressing their thoughts about the movie I was one of the two main leads in, WMD. They were VERY POSITIVE notes, with the “harshest” part of one being, how it didn’t align with their political views, but they still appreciated the acting and the opposite POV/argument… (which I, in turn, can appreciate). There’s a link on the IMDB page to rent thru AMAZON ($2.99), and a link to the trailer. There are also a few quotes from the movie posted (warning: profanity) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1370312/
Apparently the film has also been pirated, and is making it’s way though the underground, but I hope you will chose other options for viewing the film.

Today I discovered that Amazon now has WMD available to “rent” – streaming HD or STANDARD. Both at a much more economical cost than purchasing a copy. To find it on Amazon, go to their site, and type in “WMD” and my name “Tom Kiesche” in their search bar, and you should be able to find it.
I’m guessing other sites may also have it for rental, and would imagine at this rate of distribution it may be available via other platforms in the future.
Since it was officially released Tuesday April 14th (yesterday) there are only a small sample of reviews posted. In summary, people who are driven to write a review seem to love it or hate it. I don’t know if I know any of those who wrote the reviews that are currently posted on the IMDB, but 3 of them rate it high and seem to love it… And of them 1 rates it low and hates it. My favorite part of Don’s hate filled rant, which was oddly written on the 12th, before it was released… “Something Hitler might enjoy with a small male child.”
I suspect most who choose watch it won’t be as charged as the hate filled or the love gushing, but I do believe this is a film that some will enjoy and others will not. Some will see the faults, while others will see the positives. I, of course will encourage the posting of any positive reviews, but as long as people are talking about it, it’s a win.
Nice to see my IMDB number going in the right direction again!

The following reviews were grabbed with screen capture, and may contain spoilers.
My video store put WMD on their shelf last night, and this morning I got my first feedback on the film on Instagram (since she posted publicly I can’t see why she’d mind me posting it here.)
In my last post (https://tomkiesche.wordpress.com/2015/04/13/wmd-got-my-copy/) I listed a few ways to buy it or watch it online, HOWEVER, if you’re near Silverlake, or know people who are, and you or they want to check it out, call Video Journeys and see if they’ll reserve it for you (BTW I think they still do 2 for 1 rentals on Tuesdays http://www.videojourneysrentals.com).

It is such an asset to have a quality video store nearby. If you still have a video store in your town, make sure to swing by, rent and say hello. They can give you recommendations, and open your eyes to all sorts of films you would never otherwise be exposed to.
So, I watched the film last night… Not always easy watching yourself… But what’s really funny is when we were shooting it I thought how outdated the script already was, “I wish we shot this a year ago.” Now, all these years later, I find it tragically sad how the film is anything but outdated. It’s certainly not flawless, and there is a cost to quick, 1 take, crazy-ass, low-budget film making… But the film was poignant many times, made me smile or chuckle a few times, and there is certainly a chance this movie could find its audience.

This project started principal photography in January of 2009, and at several times since then, many of us thought it was dead, buried, and would never be heard from again. I give complete praise to the producers who continued pushing forward, and thank you to all those that helped along the way.
I’m super thankful that it’s done-done, and available for my family and friends and their friends and their friends and their friends… to watch.
Not for children, it contains a good amount of foul language, politics, satire, uncomfortable moments, and violence.
However, it is the first commercially released feature film that I am unquestionably one of the two main leads, so I would personally be honored if you were to buy it, rent it, or see it, regardless of how you feel about the subject matter, or the budget. And if you enjoy it, or know someone that would, I hope you tell your social networks about it… If it becomes an underdog, cult hit, that success could translate into more leading roles down the line.
I’m sure there will be many ways to watch the film in the future, but below are a few ways you can see it after APRIL 14th.
